Capital Residents Stay Indoors, Storm on the Way

Sarah K., FCN News Agency: The occurrence of natural disasters in a country facing weak crisis management poses serious challenges to citizens and officials. Public safety and health are threatened by compounded dangers.
Capital residents are now living in anxiety over the forecast of a storm hitting Tehran
According to FCN News Agency, the severity of this forecast is such that firefighters are on standby for a potential storm in Tehran.
Therefore, citizens have been asked not to leave their homes during the final hours of this Wednesday and throughout tonight, and to avoid open spaces.
The storm is expected to be more severe in the southern regions of Tehran province, including Varamin and Robat Karim.
Wind speeds in some areas of the province have already exceeded 85 kilometers per hour.
Residents of Qazvin experienced this situation in the early morning hours today. Reports indicate that aftershocks from a 4.7 magnitude earthquake forced Qazvin citizens to take to the streets from 2 AM and spend time in darkness to avoid possible and unforeseen dangers.
These Qazvin aftershocks occurred following the 4.7 magnitude earthquake in some areas of Gilan province.
As a result, no official or institution can assure our fellow citizens that in the event of a natural disaster, people can continue with their normal lives. These two incidents are merely a handful of examples from a bushel, depicting just one day out of 365 days in Iran.
