Bishop John McAreavey, head of the Justice and Peace Council in Ireland, said that according to research they have obtained, one Christian believer is killed every five minutes, and approximately one hundred thousand Christians are killed annually around the world because of their beliefs!

Bishop John McAreavey said every hour eleven people are killed, and about 273 people in the course of one day. He also stated: This number excludes individuals who are in prison and under torture and exile.

John McAreavey pointed out that we cannot tolerate that our Christian sisters and brothers around the world face such difficulties, and for this reason we have rushed to help these sisters and brothers by establishing a rescue organization.
