Gagard Mansourian Appreciates Armenian Presence in Elections

Gagard Mansourian, the elected representative of Armenian Christians in southern Iran, appreciated the presence of Armenians in the elections.
Gagard Mansourian, born in 1359 (Jalfa-ye Nou), was elected as the representative of the electoral district of Armenian representatives from Isfahan and southern Iran in the Islamic Consultative Assembly. According to information released by the country’s election headquarters, he was elected with 1,035 votes.
Gagard Mansourian, the elected representative of Armenian Christians in the twelfth elections of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, while referring to the participation of more than 80 percent of the Armenian community in the elections, expressed his appreciation for them and said: “Based on this public trust, I endeavor to resolve the problems and issues of the Armenian community over the next four years.”
Mr. Mansourian said in an interview with Isfahan Radio and Television News Agency: “If God grants me success, in the next four years I will not only represent the problems of the Armenian community, but I also consider myself a representative of the people of Isfahan. I hope to be able to solve the problems and concerns of the Armenian community and the people of Isfahan. I also hope to be effective in addressing their livelihood and financial problems so they can get through the current situation easily.
Of course, regarding the social, economic, and educational issues of Armenian students, there are concerns in the community that need to be addressed, and I am endeavoring to first increase interaction between the Muslim community and the Armenian community.”
