Hack of ‘Judiciary Power Letter’ Regarding Mahsa Amini; ‘Her Head Hit the Curb During Struggle with Officers’

The hacker group ‘Adalet Ali’ says it has obtained a document that provides a new account of Mahsa Amini’s death in Guidance Patrol custody.
The content of this document relates to the initial investigation by Ali Omraei, prosecutor of branch five of the 38th district courthouse, into Mahsa Amini’s death, in which ‘her head striking the curb’ as a result of a struggle with Guidance Patrol officers is mentioned and is attributed to one of Mahsa Amini’s companions who stated that in the Guidance Patrol vehicle, Mahsa Amini ‘expressed discomfort from the blow to her head and bleeding from the head area, constantly cried, and requested to receive her mobile phone, which the officers paid no attention to’.
The hacker group ‘Adalet Ali’ published this document on Wednesday, September 28. Radio Farda cannot independently verify the authenticity of this document.
In this letter, addressed to the head of the 38th district courthouse responsible for ‘moral security crimes,’ a report of initial investigations through September 14 regarding Mahsa Amini’s arrest, coma, and hospitalization at Kasravi Hospital is presented.
The Process of Mahsa Amini’s Arrest
In this document, the process of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini’s arrest is explained as follows: three patrol units were stationed near Shahid Haghani subway station when one of these units, under Sergeant Rafiei, took action against three girls and one boy.
The document states that ‘Sergeant Rafiei’ and one female officer named ‘Ms. Safari’ stopped these three girls and one boy, and ‘upon inspection, it was found that the three mentioned girls were cousins to each other and the boy accompanying them was also the brother of one of the girls’.
This report’s reference is to Mahsa Amini’s brother, who attempted to prevent his sister’s arrest but officers confronted him.
The document further states that from among these young people, the officers ultimately only took Mahsa Amini with them to the Moral Security Police headquarters, ‘a task carried out by First Corporal Khoshnam and Ms. Hosseini’.
The document adds that ‘three people before Ms. Mahsa Amini and three people after her were transferred to the mentioned van vehicle’.
‘Head Strike’ of Mahsa Amini Against ‘Sidewalk Curb’
Ali Omraei in his letter to the head of the 38th district courthouse, referring to the investigation of Tehran’s Greater Police Command of all individuals present at the location of Mahsa Amini’s arrest, wrote: all individuals ’emphasized’ that the conduct of the patrol known as Guidance, which ‘is always stationed at the same location, has sometimes been inappropriate and significant tensions occur between them and the people, sometimes resulting in physical confrontation due to inflamed prejudices’.
Continuing with reference to Mahsa Amini’s case, it states: ‘Regarding the aforementioned person, some stated that on the same day and at the same time (Tuesday, September 13, 2022, around 18:30), they witnessed a girl resisting while being transferred to the van vehicle, and as a result of the ensuing struggle, her head struck the curb’.
In another section of the letter, describing how arrested individuals were transferred to the ‘Moral Security Police’ headquarters at around 19:15 for ‘hijab compliance training,’ it states: ‘Much commotion occurs among the transferred individuals, who are numerous in number, when suddenly one of the girls in the hall named Ms. Mahsa Amini loses consciousness. After a few minutes, an ambulance arrives at the location and announces that she has died, resulting in disruption of the hall and much noise and even confrontation between officers and those present’.
The letter adds that ‘ultimately the unconscious person is transferred to the hospital for resuscitation and medical treatment’.
The prosecutor of branch five of the 38th district courthouse in this letter refers to his investigation from the inspection of the commander of Tehran’s Greater Police Force as well as individuals who were arrested along with Mahsa Amini and states: ‘One of these persons stated that the deceased spoke to him in the van vehicle and expressed discomfort from the blow to the head and bleeding from the head area, constantly cried, and requested to receive her mobile phone, which the officers paid no attention to’.
Ali Omraei at the end, emphasizing the ‘special impact’ of this matter on public opinion, requested that ‘the continued handling of the case should be decided by decision-makers while observing all its aspects’.
Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old girl from Saqqez who had traveled to Tehran with her family to visit relatives, suffered brain death after her arrest by Guidance Patrol officers and transfer to the Moral Security Police detention center on Vezara Street.
Eyewitnesses and a number of independent doctors who reviewed her brain CT scan report beatings and the presence of blood in the lungs resulting from a severe blow to the head.
However, Islamic Republic officials have continuously spoken of ‘evidence’ regarding Mahsa Amini’s ‘underlying illness’ in order to deny the fact of her beating by officers, but these documents have not yet been made available to the media.
Despite Mahsa Amini’s father’s emphasis that his daughter did not suffer from any ‘underlying illness,’ a member of the parliament’s Health and Treatment Commission claimed she had the hormonal disorder ‘insipidus diabetes’ and ‘brain surgery’ in childhood.
