How is a Law on Hijab Being Enforced When No Such Law Exists?

“Hashmatolah Falahatzadeh” in response to hijab and poisoning incidents stated how a law that does not exist regarding hijab is being enforced.

The most discussed issue in the current year is chemical attacks on schools and the poisoning of students. Attacks on schools across provinces throughout the country are occurring while the Islamic Republic system’s only concern is mandatory hijab, and it is seeking legislation to arrest and fine those without hijab.

“Hashmatolah Falahatzadeh,” former member of the National Security Commission of Parliament, in response to the poisoning incidents and the hijab issue, told “Khabar Online”: “Although the hijab issue is a debatable topic in the country, currently some other problems such as attacks on certain schools are more important than hijab. In a place where a hijab law does not yet exist in the country, how does the police commander of the country declare that action will be taken against improper hijab?”

In the first decade of Farvardin 1402, the Ministry of Interior issued a statement regarding hijab control. “Commander Radan,” the commander of the police force, also spoke two days ago about dealing with improperly veiled individuals and enforcing the law regarding them. According to Commander Radan’s statements from the 26th of Farvardin, individuals who expose their hijab in public spaces, vehicles, or commercial premises will be referred to courts with documents and evidence.

According to Falahatzadeh, social phenomena cannot be forcibly resolved in society. Currently in society, the intellectual atmosphere of many people does not align with the intellectual atmosphere of many officials in the country. Many statistics and figures announced by country officials do not correspond with the reality of society and people’s lives. As a result, policies adopted for society’s problems and culture are not only ineffective, but have the opposite effect.

Officials have also attributed the cause of student poisoning to childish mischief influenced by cyberspace, and not only have they taken no action to prevent these attacks, but they have concentrated all their focus on the hijab issue, which is a social matter, and transformed it into a security issue.

Falahatzadeh also stated that we are facing a generation that wants to have their voice heard. If after strict confrontations, controversy erupts again, who will bear the responsibility for it?
