Internet Disruption in Iran for Two Consecutive Nights as Anniversary of Revolutionary Uprising Approaches

As the anniversary of the revolutionary uprising approaches, the internet across Iran experienced severe disruptions for two consecutive nights.
With the approaching anniversary of the government-caused death of Mahsa Amini, the popular revolutionary uprising, and upcoming calls for regime overthrow, the regime has become alarmed and taken measures to prevent further developments. The regime has disrupted internet services to prevent Iranians from communicating information inside and outside the country in order to coordinate calls for action on the designated day.
NetBlocks, which monitors internet accessibility restrictions worldwide, has also reported internet disruptions across Iran. The organization stated in its reports: “Internet outages were recorded for the second consecutive night starting from 1 a.m. local time in Iran. Network data shows that connectivity has decreased to 71% of normal levels.”
However, the Iranian people, who have become well acquainted with the regime’s conduct over the past year, had already prepared calls, strikes, and plans for the designated day in the past month and informed each other across Iran before the internet disruptions and communication blackout occurred, ensuring they have the necessary preparation for a renewed uprising on such a day.
The internet disruption due to lack of coordination by the people, the regime’s internal collapse, reactions from some seminary scholars regarding the regime’s treatment of people, announcements of calls within and outside the country, and the unity and solidarity of people for the designated day all indicate the triumph of the popular revolution and the overthrow of the regime.
