Judicial pressure continues on some Labor Day detainees; issuance of heavy bail bonds

The Syndicate of Tehran United Bus Company Workers announced that detention orders for a number of Labor Day detainees have been converted to bail conditions, and for others the detention has been extended.
The syndicate stated on its Telegram channel that following approximately one month after the detention of Hasan Saeedi, a member of the Tehran United Bus Company Workers’ Syndicate, his detention order was converted to a bail condition of 330 million tomans.
The statement published by the Tehran United Bus Company Workers’ Syndicate further indicated that detention orders for Nahid Khodajoo and Farhad Sheikhian, other detainees from the International Workers’ Day gathering, have been converted to bail conditions. However, it is reported that for Aatefe Rangriz, Vanda Naji, and Marzieh Amiri, following the expiration of their 30-day detention period, a new 12-day detention order has been issued.
During the protest demonstrations on International Workers’ Day in Tehran, a number of participants were detained. After approximately one month, eight journalists and civil and labor activists remain in detention.
Previously, Human Rights Watch issued a statement calling on Islamic Republic officials to release “at least eight activists and journalists” detained during International Workers’ Day protests without any conditions as quickly as possible.
In recent weeks, families and relatives of these detainees have also held gatherings in front of the Iranian Parliament.
Following these arrests, the Persian page of the U.S. State Department’s Twitter criticized the detention of Iran’s labor activists on International Workers’ Day.
