Khayyam Commemoration Ceremony Held at Nahj al-Balagha Park in Tehran with Group and Mixed Dancing

People in Tehran gathered at Nahj al-Balagha Park during a ceremony called “Khayyam Commemoration” and engaged in group dancing and foot-stomping.

Khayyam is a prominent and globally renowned figure whose not only precise and highly scientific calendar, known as the “Jalali Calendar,” is used by the general public daily, but whose incomparable and philosophical quatrains are also welcomed by many people around the world. However, among these, the Khayyam Commemoration and its ceremonies, which are mostly specific to the people of Bushehr, have stirred a different fervor among the people.

Khayyam Commemoration in Bushehr is one of the customs of the people of this province that has continued from generation to generation, and this tradition is not only a night spent with poetry and music, but also a philosophy for living in the moment and considering it a blessing.

In this regard, a video has been published on virtual pages depicting the Khayyam Commemoration ceremony, but this time by the people of Tehran at Nahj al-Balagha Park, and performed with mixed dancing and singing. The people of Tehran, through civil disobedience regarding the protests that have recently included hijab, gathered at Nahj al-Balagha Park and began group dancing under the title of holding the Khayyam Commemoration ceremony.

The presence of unveiled women in this ceremony demonstrates their power and the unity of men with them, which has further alarmed the regime. Many Iranian people, upon seeing this video, declared that indescribable joy was embedded in their beings and wished for the celebration of Iran’s thousand-year-old authentic festivals throughout all parts of the country soon and after the triumph of the revolution in this manner.

The people of Tehran, by holding this ceremony, made the regime understand that Iranians possess a culture, civilization, and authenticity spanning thousands of years whose celebrations are renowned throughout the world, and now they have returned to their authenticity and culture once more and will reclaim all the years lost by the regime.
