Military Equipment Sent to Zahedan Ahead of Bloody Friday Anniversary

On the eve of the anniversary of Bloody Friday in Zahedan, the Islamic Republic system transferred numerous military equipment to Zahedan.

Last year, coinciding with the start of nationwide protests and the uprising of a popular revolution, the people of Baluchestan also protested, but on September 28th following the protests, the forces of the Islamic Republic system opened fire on Zahedan and killed people of all ages in a hail of bullets, a day that turned Zahedan into a city of blood.

The people of Baluchestan did not stop their protests after Bloody Friday and, despite the security situation prevailing in the city and the large number of deaths it left behind, continued their protests to prevent the blood of their sisters and brothers from being trampled by the system.

The people of Zahedan organized a call for September 28th, which marks the first anniversary of Bloody Friday, to unite in confronting the system. For this reason, the Islamic Republic system, out of fear of confrontation and people’s unity, has transferred numerous military equipment and weapons to Zahedan since last week to confront the people of Baluchestan.

In response to this action by the system, the people of Baluchestan announced: we are no longer afraid of you and we will answer your bullets. We, the people, are united with each other and we will confront you at the cost of our lives, and victory belongs to us, the people of Iran. We will reclaim Iran from you, the criminal government, even if you take the lives of our loved ones again.

It is worth noting that following the announcement of the call by the people of Baluchestan, General “Ahmad Reza Radan,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Police Force, traveled to Sistan and Baluchestan in recent days without prior notice and media announcement to meet with Baluch tribal leaders and families of those killed in the protests and obtain their consent. People’s unity has instilled such fear in the system that it is now willing to seek approval from citizens.

Additionally, based on reports from human rights sources in Sistan and Baluchestan, security pressures and threats to citizens regarding participation in protests have intensified. The Information Protection Organization has also sent text messages to Baluch citizens asking them to send reports against other citizens to this center. In this regard, text messages have been sent by the Judiciary and the Ministry of Intelligence to threaten people for participating in protests.
