Mullah Abdulhamid: Justice Must Be Served in the ‘Bloody Friday of Khash’ Case

Mullah Abdulhamid announced in Friday prayer sermons that justice must be served in the “Bloody Friday of Khash” case.
Today, Friday, corresponding to 12 Aban, Mullah Abdulhamid, the Sunni Friday prayer imam of Zahedan, during a speech following Friday prayers, while referring to the anniversary of the bloody Friday in Khash, announced that the people of Iran’s demand is the implementation of justice and punishment of the perpetrators and instigators of this incident.
According to Amnesty International reports, on “Bloody Friday in Khash” which occurred on 13 Aban 1401, regime forces targeted protesting people with military gunfire and killed approximately 18 worshippers and passersby, including two children, and wounded dozens more. However, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps blamed the “Jaish al-Adl” group for these attacks.
Images released on the current day show the presence of military forces around the Makki Mosque in Zahedan and the city of Khash, which has created an intense security atmosphere in the city.
Mullah Abdulhamid emphasized the importance of justice and freedom in Iran and continued: “Existing discrimination and inequalities must be eliminated and, while tolerating criticism, political prisoners including writers, journalists and intellectuals in prison must be released.”
Since the start of nationwide protests in various Iranian cities and regime forces’ attacks on protesters in Zahedan and Khash, which turned that region into a bloody Friday with mass killings including children, people in various cities of Sistan and Baluchestan have continued to appear at demonstrations every Friday despite intensified pressures and a security atmosphere, continuing their protests until justice is served.
