Official Coronavirus Statistics in Iran; Three-Dose Vaccine Vaccination Required for Using Nowruz Accommodations

Iran’s National Coronavirus Task Force announced conditions for using accommodations during Nowruz, requiring either three doses of vaccine or a negative coronavirus test for individuals who have not completed full vaccination.
Abbas Shiravedan, spokesperson for the coronavirus task force, announced in a tweet that for those who have received two doses, at least three months must have passed since receiving the last dose of vaccine.
The Ministry of Health also issued a statement on Thursday, March 10, regarding Nowruz trips, announcing that people with positive test results should not travel until 10 days have passed since their test date or the onset of their symptoms.
Despite announcing protocols related to Nowruz trips, some health officials have warned about a potential resurgence of coronavirus following Nowruz travels.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health of Iran reported on Thursday, March 10, the death of 139 people and the identification of approximately 6,500 new patients in the past 24 hours.
Based on this report, more than 800 of the identified patients in the past 24 hours were hospitalized, and of all patients hospitalized due to coronavirus in the country, more than 3,000 are receiving intensive care in hospitals.
According to the Ministry of Health’s announcement, the total number of coronavirus deaths in Iran has reached 138,572 and the total number of patients has reached 7,113,591.
Official coronavirus statistics are announced daily by Iran’s Ministry of Health, while officials from the Medical Association have previously stated that the actual figures are three to four times higher than the reported numbers.
