Russian passenger plane crashes near Moscow

A Russian passenger plane carrying 71 people crashed shortly after taking off from an airport runway near Moscow. None of the passengers survived.
A Saratov Airlines passenger aircraft with 65 passengers and six crew members crashed on Sunday, February 11 (Bahman 22) shortly after taking off from an airport runway near Moscow.
The Antonov AN-148 model aircraft took off from Domodedovo Airport bound for Orsk in the Ural region and crashed about 70 kilometers southeast of Moscow shortly thereafter.
According to French news agency AFP, the crash site was in the Ramenskoye area within the greater Moscow region.
Russian news agencies reported, citing eyewitnesses, that residents of the village of Argunovo saw an aircraft that had caught fire in the sky. The aircraft crashed a short time later.
A representative of Russian rescue forces told Interfax news agency that the aircraft’s passengers “had no chance of survival.”
Following this, Russia’s transport minister announced that none of the passengers survived.
According to Interfax, debris from the aircraft fuselage was scattered across a path about one kilometer long.
