Three Armed Muslim Men Assault Christian Woman in Front of Her Husband in Pakistan

Three armed Muslim men in Faisalabad, Pakistan, assaulted a Christian woman in front of her husband’s eyes.
A shocking report of assault against a Christian woman from Pakistan has been published, revealing that the incident occurred two weeks ago on March 25, when the assault was carried out by three armed masked men in Faisalabad.
According to Morning Star, “Adnan Masih” is a 34-year-old Christian worker employed at a brick kiln in the Faisalabad area. In his interview with the news network, he stated: “On the night of March 25, I was returning home with my wife on a motorcycle when three armed masked men stopped us. At gunpoint, they took my mobile phone and some money I was carrying, and then threatened that I must pay more money. When I told them I was a poor Christian worker, they began whispering things to each other.
One of them grabbed my wife’s arm and dragged her to a nearby sugarcane field, while the other two tied me to a tree, and then took turns assaulting her.”
Adnan continues, his voice choked with emotion: “There are no words sufficient to express the helplessness and agony I endured in those moments. After some time, my wife emerged from the fields, her clothes torn and tears streaming down her face. She could barely walk, but slowly came toward me and opened my hands, then we both sat down and cried aloud.
The Muslim attackers damaged our motorcycle so severely that we had great difficulty completing the journey home. When we finally reached our house, our three children and relatives were waiting for us in the courtyard. We did not have the courage to tell them what had happened to us, so we went to our room, prayed, and asked God to help us.”
Adnan stated in his account that the day after the incident, he contacted the police and explained all the events of the previous night. He said: “The police filed a case, but only took serious action after the news was published in the media. A few days later, police identified and arrested the three suspects, because the provincial governor was informed of the incident and issued an order for immediate investigation. The police chief and a senior provincial security official also came to our house and promised they would deal with this matter severely.”
Adnan Masih expressed gratitude to the Christian representative in the Punjab Assembly, “Aijaz Augustin,” who played an important role in pursuing this matter. Aijaz Augustin, a former minister of human rights and minority affairs, spoke about the incident that happened to Adnan: “Such crimes continue despite severe legal penalties. Women from religious minorities, especially, are vulnerable to sexual violence, as criminals can easily identify them. Moreover, most Christians living in Punjab are very poor and face numerous obstacles in accessing justice.”
Last year (2024), several reports were published of assaults on women by armed masked men in the vicinity of Pakistani fields, one of which is similar to the incident that befell Adnan and his wife. Armed masked men attacked a woman in a field in the Punjab region of Pakistan and, after stealing money and her other belongings, assaulted her in front of her 3-year-old daughter and her husband. Such assaults by extremist Muslims, particularly against Christian women in Pakistan, remain hidden and unreported in most cases, which leads to these cases not being addressed or being delayed by authorities.
According to reports by the Christian organization “Open Doors” in 2025, Pakistan, ranked eighth on the organization’s list, has been rated as the most dangerous place for Christians to live.
