“Ye Van”: Conditional Release on Bail is Not True and Unconditional Freedom

“Ye Van” stated regarding Tomaj Salehi’s conditional release that freedom on bail is not true and unconditional freedom.
Tomaj Salehi, a renowned rap singer, was released from prison on bail after enduring more than a year of imprisonment. According to statements by Amir Raisiyan, Tomaj’s lawyer, following his appeal to the Supreme Court, the court overturned the previous verdict and returned the case for re-examination to the Isfahan Revolutionary Court. The Supreme Court also announced that while Tomaj has been released on bail and the case remains open, he may be eligible for the general amnesty decree.
“Ye Van,” a German Parliament representative who holds political guardianship for Tomaj Salehi, while expressing joy over Tomaj’s release on the “X” network, wrote: “Freedom on bail is not true and unconditional freedom. As long as the Islamic Republic does not dismiss all charges against him, we will not stop fighting for him. We do not forget that he was arrested innocently, spent 10 months in solitary confinement, was tortured, and his injuries were not even treated.”
“Ye Van” continued, referring to the release of all political prisoners in Iran: “Let us remember that all those imprisoned and killed by the Iranian regime are innocent.”
According to the International Human Rights Campaign, one of Tomaj’s relatives also stated that if it were not for media and international pressure in the first days and weeks, Tomaj might not be alive today.
