The official number of coronavirus victims in Iran approached 80,000

With the death of 208 patients infected with the coronavirus in Iran in the past 24 hours, the total number of deaths from the disease in the country has reached 79,056.
Iranian media reported on Tuesday, citing the Ministry of Health's public relations office, that 11,873 new coronavirus patients were identified in the country in the past 24 hours, of which 1,713 were hospitalized.
Accordingly, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached two million, 855,396.
While refusing to provide disaggregated statistics, the Iranian Ministry of Health provides the media with daily statistics on infections and deaths from the coronavirus, statistics whose accuracy is questioned by independent sources.
According to the Ministry of Health, so far 2,675,594 people have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine and 470,468 people have received the second dose, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the country to 3,146,062 doses.
According to the Ministry of Health, there are currently 8 red cities and 233 orange cities, and according to the approvals of the National Task Force for Combating Corona, travel "from" and "to" cities with red and orange status is prohibited. There are also 207 cities in yellow status.
