Execution of flogging sentence for a bakery worker following complaint by Friday imam in Cheram city

This media outlet, which monitors news related to human rights in Iran, published a picture of the court verdict against bakery worker Ruhollah Barzinnejad and wrote that the verdict was executed on June 7 at the Cheram Judicial Sentence Execution Unit.

The aforementioned ruling describes Mr. Barzinnejad's accusation as "insult." The HRANA report also states that this citizen was faced with a complaint from Noorollah Afshar, the Friday prayer imam of Cheram city, "due to the comments made by others under his critical article."

HRANA then adds, citing an "informed source," that after the flogging sentence was issued, "despite the mediation of several trusted figures and elders of the city of Cheram," the Friday prayer leader of the city "did not agree and continued to demand that the sentence be carried out," and ultimately the sentence was carried out.

On the other hand, the Tabnak website published a statement from the Friday prayer leader of Cheram city, who claimed that he "was not present during the execution of the verdict" and thought that "the case was closed" or else "he would not have allowed it to be executed."

He wrote in the statement that Mr. Barzinnejad had "committed numerous insults to worshippers" on social media and had addressed "the personal issues of the city's former Friday prayer imam."

Why did the Friday prayer imam write that he demanded an apology from the person in question, but he did not do so?
