"Tehran Province is heading towards the third wave of Corona"

The commander of the Coronavirus Response Headquarters in the Tehran metropolis warned that the number of people infected with Covid-19 in the capital is increasing.
According to the Iranian Students News Agency, ISNA, Alireza Zali said on Monday, September 14, that over the past 24 hours, "more than 659 patients in Tehran province have been hospitalized with the diagnosis of coronavirus, which is an upward trend compared to last week."
According to him, although this increase in the number of people infected with the coronavirus in Tehran "has a gentle slope," it can be predicted that "Tehran is moving towards the third wave of Corona."
Tehran is among the provinces in red status in terms of the spread of the coronavirus. Apart from that, twelve other provinces are also in red status, including Qom, Mazandaran, and Semnan, all three of which are located in the vicinity of Tehran.
Alireza Zali continued his statements by predicting that the arrival of the third wave of Corona in Tehran province "will take shape much earlier than in other provinces."
He then warned that "in the coming weeks, Tehran will experience new conditions as the number of coronavirus patients increases."
According to official statistics, 156 people died from COVID-19 across the country on Monday, bringing the total number of victims to 23,313. The figures also put the total number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran at 404,648, of whom 348,130 have recovered.
This is while the accuracy of official coronavirus statistics in Iran has been questioned by domestic experts and some officials, such as some city council members and members of parliament.
