Worrying increase in the number of coronavirus cases in six Iranian provinces

The spread of the coronavirus is increasing in six provinces of Iran. The percentage of hospitalizations in the age group of 5 to 17 has also increased. The coronavirus situation has been declared “fragile” and officials have given the “good news” that foreign coronavirus vaccines will be imported before domestic vaccines are produced.

Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi, the head of the Iranian Medical Organization, said that evidence indicates a worrying increase in the number of patients and patients seeking medical services after recent gatherings and trips. According to the head of the Medical Organization, the increase in coronavirus cases has been clearly seen in six provinces and is a cause for serious concern.

Zafar Qandi emphasized that a foreign vaccine must be imported as soon as possible to interrupt the cycle of the disease and its transmission chain.

However, the Islamic Republic of Iran has had difficulty securing vaccines after Ali Khamenei opposed the entry of "American and British vaccines" into Iran.

Mozhdeh, Minister of Health, regarding the import of foreign vaccines

Saeed Namaki, Iran's Minister of Health, said on Sunday, January 24, about the import of foreign coronavirus vaccines: "I would like to give you this good news about the vaccine: we prepared the vaccine for injection before the arrival of our own vaccine and secured its resources, and in the coming days we will import the first batches of the imported vaccine from reliable sources."

Regarding Ayatollah Khamenei's ban on the import of coronavirus vaccines made in the US, UK, and France, the Minister of Health said, "The Leader did not prohibit vaccination with an approved foreign vaccine before the domestic vaccine was produced."

The Health Minister, however, emphasized that Iran is "fighting the coronavirus with empty pockets and an empty treasury."

Holding the 12th of Bahman ceremony with motorbikes and cars

The head of the Medical System Organization has reported on the lack of compliance with health protocols and the increase in coronavirus patients, and has recommended purchasing a foreign coronavirus vaccine as soon as possible.

Alireza Raisi, spokesman for the National Coronavirus Task Force, said, “We are in a relatively good situation by adhering to the protocols.” He emphasized, “Currently, we do not have any red cities nationwide, and the red cities in Mazandaran province have turned orange. In total, we have 19 orange cities, 157 yellow cities, and 256 blue cities.”

The spokesperson for the National Headquarters for Combating Corona announced that this year's march on 12th Bahman will not be held like in the past and will only be held as a motorcycle parade or in the form of a movement of cars. He also said that the speech on 12th Bahman will be broadcast on the Iranian Radio and Television.

Education should still be virtual.

Alireza Zali, commander of the Tehran Metropolitan Area's coronavirus operations, has reported that more children and adolescents are infected with the coronavirus and has recommended that education be virtual and optional, given the increase in coronavirus cases in the adolescent and youth age group.

According to Zali, the percentage of hospitalizations in the 5-17 age group has increased compared to other groups.
