Suicide attempt by 17-year-old teenager in Sanandaj city

In recent days, a 17-year-old boy from Sanandaj attempted suicide by taking pills. The teenager survived after being taken to the hospital. The Iranian Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7 percent.

According to HRANA, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists' Association in Iran, a teenage boy attempted suicide by taking pills.

This teenager, identified as "M.R., 17 years old and from Sanandaj," was saved from death after being taken to the hospital with the help of medical staff.

An informed source told HRANA in this regard: “The teenager’s parents intended to separate from each other, and he and his mother had moved to his grandfather’s house in the village of Taze Abad, part of the Kalatarzan district of Sanandaj city, for a while.”

The informed source added: “The teenager committed suicide by taking a large number of pills due to family disputes. After his mother found out, she was transferred to a hospital in Sanandaj with the help of the villagers and was saved from death.”

The Iranian Forensic Medicine Organization has announced that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7%.
