A teenage girl attempted suicide in Tehran.

A teenage girl in Tehran attempted to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge, but was prevented from doing so by the intervention of the police. The Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7 percent.
According to the HRANA news agency, quoting the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation, the head of Tehran's preventive police announced the suicide attempt of a teenage girl, approximately 18 years old, in the city.
Jalil Mawqofeh said in this regard: The head of the 190 Majidieh Police Station was traveling outside office hours and outside the police station area when he noticed the mysterious behavior of a teenage girl on the bridge at the intersection of "Imam Ali" and "Shahid Soleimani" highway in Tehran.
A benefactor stated: When he realized that the teenage girl was planning to commit suicide and throw herself off the highway, he took action and stopped her from doing so.
The police official added: "This teenager, about 18 years old, was transferred to the police station's counseling department, and in the counseling department, it was determined that he had attempted suicide due to family problems, and after counseling, he was handed over to his family."
The Iranian Forensic Medicine Organization has announced that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7%.
