Al-Jubeir: Assad regime committed war crimes in Aleppo

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, in a speech on Sunday, May 1, accused the Assad regime of committing war crimes against the people of Aleppo.
The city of Aleppo, located in northern Syria, has been brutally bombarded by Assad's warplanes for the past nine days, despite a ceasefire agreement.
Al-Jubeir said during a press conference that what is being done in Aleppo by the Assad regime and its allies is a war crime against humanity.
The Saudi foreign minister traveled to Geneva on Sunday afternoon to meet with his counterpart, John Kerry.
Al-Jubeir and Kerry are scheduled to discuss the ceasefire and peace talks with representatives of the Syrian opposition.
This is while the city of Aleppo witnessed relative calm over the past day and night.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the bombardment of Aleppo, which began on April 22, has killed 253 people, including 49 children.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, most of the victims were killed by massive explosions of incendiary barrel bombs dropped by Assad's warplanes on residential areas.
