German police raid Islamist homes in Bremen
German police raided the homes and shops of Islamists in the city of Bremen on Tuesday. Due to the “urgency of the threats,” police officers from various German states took part in the massive operation.
On Tuesday morning (April 26), German police searched the homes and shops of suspected Islamists in various neighborhoods in the city of Bremen.
According to the German news agency, police officers from other German states have assisted their colleagues in Bremen in this investigation.
The police raid was reportedly prompted by “urgent threats” from Salafist groups in Bremen, according to a report in the local newspaper, Weser Kurier.
The German prosecutor's office is scheduled to hold a press conference in the coming hours about the results of this investigation and search.
