At the current rate, Iranian vaccinations will not end in 1400.

The head of the Iranian Society of Internal Medicine Specialists said on Monday, June 23, that the vaccination program for Iranians will not end in 1400 due to a vaccine shortage.
Iraj Khosroonia, head of the Society of Internal Medicine Specialists, also told Mehr News Agency that with the current trend and the fact that the country's population aged 40 to 50 is estimated to be over 20 million, "we cannot vaccinate all eligible people this year."
However, he described the current trend of vaccination of the elderly as "acceptable" and said it was a global priority.
At the same time, the Deputy Minister of Health for Medical Affairs also announced that "based on the forecast, the vaccine for people over 60 years of age in Iran will be completed within a month or by the first half of July."
Corona vaccination in Iran began later than in many other countries, one reason being that the promises of Iranian authorities regarding the production of an Iranian vaccine were not fulfilled.
Mr. Janbabaei, Deputy Minister of Health, like other officials, especially the Minister of Health, have said in recent months, again about "good and promising news regarding domestic vaccine production," but did not provide any details.
This is while, according to official statistics from the Ministry of Health, the official death toll from the coronavirus has reached nearly 79,000.
According to the ministry's official report, in the last 24 hours, 251 more Iranians infected with COVID-19 have lost their lives, and more than 11,000 new patients have been identified in the country, of whom 1,605 have been hospitalized.
According to these official statistics, which some officials and other institutions say differ significantly from the actual figures, the total number of COVID-19 patients in Iran has reached nearly two million and 900 thousand.
Currently, at least 4,753 patients with COVID-19 are being cared for in hospital intensive care units, and the greatest concern about them is related to the nationwide power outage in Iran, the consequences of which have affected some medical centers as well as patients connected to oxygen machines at home.
According to the Ministry of Health, so far, 2,608,182 people have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine and 460,853 people have received the second dose, bringing the total number of vaccines administered to 3,69,353.
The population of Iran in 2020 is estimated to be more than 83 million people.
