On the other hand, unemployed workers of the Abadan International Transportation Company gathered in front of a Ministry of Labor office in west Tehran to protest the failure to implement the return-to-work order.
According to ILNA news agency, the contracts of these workers were about to expire a few years ago, but considering that some of them had between 7 and 25 years of experience in the company, the dispute resolution board at the West Tehran Labor Department rejected the dismissal of the workers and voted to return them to work. According to the workers, the employer has not implemented this vote.
Simultaneously with these gatherings, retirees of the Ahvaz Pipe Company also planned to gather in front of the pension fund in Ahvaz, but security forces prevented the gathering from taking place.
