Arrest of suspects accused of raping women in Saravan

HRANA News Agency – The Saravan city prosecutor announced the arrest of a group called “rapists” in the city, saying that this group had been threatening and raping women on the roads outside the city of Saravan, and had attempted to film and extort money from these citizens.
According to HRANA news agency, quoting Fararo, the Saravan city prosecutor announced the arrest of a group of people known as "rapists" in the city.
The Saravan County Prosecutor explained the details of the news and stated: "A number of young girls and women in Saravan County went to the prosecutor's office and stated that while they were meeting with their friends on a road outside the city, a group of "rapists" suddenly attacked them and threatened and extorted them. The necessary orders were immediately issued to follow up on this case."
Alireza Biglarizadeh added: "These young girls had stated in their complaints that the rapists filmed this act and threatened to publish the film and photos on social media, intending to repeat their demand and extort money by receiving them."
According to this judicial official, after these women filed a complaint, with judicial orders and intelligence measures from the Saravan City Police, "the members of this group were arrested on July 17 and confessed to the crimes they had committed during initial interrogations."
The Saravan prosecutor stated: "Members of this group have committed other similar crimes, to which a number of complainants have already referred, and identifying other complainants is also on the agenda, and the case is under further investigation."
