Four suspects arrested for raping teenage girl in Tehran

Four men in Tehran were arrested by the police on charges of raping and kidnapping a 17-year-old teenage girl.

According to HRANA News Agency, citing a citizen, it was about a month ago that a middle-aged man went to the police station in one of the cities of Khuzestan and reported the disappearance of his 17-year-old daughter.

There was no trace of the 17-year-old girl. Until a few days later, one of the girl's friends went to her father and said that the 17-year-old girl had run away to Tehran.

Police officers searched for the girl in Tehran, but there was still no sign of her. Until finally, the missing girl called her father and said, "Father, I hope you forgive me. I am so sorry. They have locked me up in a house. Please come and save me so that I am not tortured any more."

The girl's father, who was terrified, went to the police with fear and trembling and told them everything his daughter had said. Since the teenage girl had given her father the address of the house where she was being held, the police officers also went to the scene. The teenage girl was saved and the landlord, a 23-year-old man, was also arrested, but the boy said he was innocent in the incident and that he was even the one who saved the teenage girl.

According to this teenage girl: “Some time ago, my parents separated. I lived with my father, but I had been having a disagreement with him for a while. These small problems and conflicts made me dream. I thought that if I went to Tehran, I could have a comfortable life. So I left for Tehran, but when I got there, I was scared. I had no place to live. Until one day, I met a boy in the park and he took me to his house.”

She continued: “After raping me, the boy took me with him and handed me over to a friend of his who was a shopkeeper. That boy also raped me. Then he gave me over to another friend of his. A third person also raped me. In the meantime, they took me to the house of one of their friends and asked the young boy to lock me up there.”

He added: "I thought I would never be able to return to normal life. I saw all the doors closed to me, but the landlord felt sorry for me. I begged him so much that he finally agreed and gave me his mobile phone. I also called my father and asked him to help me. I still regret it very much and I ask my father to forgive me."

By order of Judge Meysam Hosseinpour, investigator of Branch 8, an investigation was launched to identify the other three defendants, until all three were identified and arrested.

During interrogations and when confronted face-to-face with the complainant, they had no choice but to tell the truth; therefore, they confessed to the rape.

After the defendants confessed, they were taken to the detention center. The charges of illegal imprisonment and threats by the defendants are also being investigated in the criminal court, but the other part of the case, which is the charge of "rape", has been sent to the criminal court so that the defendants can go to trial soon.
