A number of Christian converts were arrested in Shiraz.

Local sources have reported the arrest of at least ten Christian converts during a ceremony at a house church in Shiraz.
On Friday, January 25, 2015, a group of Christian converts gathered for the celebration of “Christmas” (the birthday of Jesus Christ) and also on the eve of the New Year, when plainclothes officers suddenly attacked them, arrested them and took them to an unknown location. According to the report, Mohsen Javadi, Elaheh Izadi, Mohammad Golshanikia, Reza Mohammadi, Mahmoud Salehi, Musa Saripour, Alireza Ali Ghanbari, Mohammadreza Soltanian, “Brother Khalil” and another person (of unknown identity) were arrested. The security officers were armed with radios and handguns, and the manner in which these citizens were treated and arrested was described as “humiliating.” The personal belongings of the detainees, as well as the satellite reception devices at the location, were also destroyed and confiscated. No precise information has been provided about the location and condition of the detainees as of the time of writing.
