Closure of the "Mehr and Mah" complex in Qom following clashes between people and businessmen with the authorities in Ma'ruf

A news agency close to the Revolutionary Guards announced the closure of the "Mehr and Mah" complex in Qom following clashes between residents and businessmen and authorities.
Videos posted on social media show a clash between the Mehr and Mah Complex businessmen and people with the authorities over the mandatory hijab notice. This commercial and tourist complex is located at kilometer 6 of the Qom-Tehran highway, and about 700 people work in two shifts in this complex.
After the implementation of the “Hijab Law” was postponed, government supporters protested the postponement by staging a sit-in in front of the Islamic Consultative Assembly for more than forty days, with several members of parliament claiming that the participants had been paid. In addition, there were other reports of the presence of so-called “infidels” in commercial and entertainment centers.
Now, the Mehr and Mah commercial complex has been closed due to a conflict between the people and businessmen working in the complex and the famous authorities over the mandatory hijab notice. According to the claim of the Mehr news agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Propaganda Organization, the managers of the complex have decided to close for two days to correct the procedures. However, there has been no reaction from the managers of the complex regarding sealing or closing it.
Yesterday, Sunday, April 7, the Kashmar prosecutor announced the sealing of a reception hall in the city due to the holding of a mixed ceremony. Ismail Baluchzadeh, the public and revolutionary prosecutor of Kashmar, stated the reason for the sealing was “holding a mixed ceremony and engaging in behavior that violates public decency,” and announced the issuance of an order to summon and arrest the organizers and participants of the ceremony.
Despite the government's repression, pressure, and heavy penalties for non-compliance with the hijab law and its intensification, Iranian women's civil disobedience against the mandatory hijab and men's support for them has also increased.
