President of the European Parliament: We stand with the brave men and women in Iran

The President of the European Parliament announced that we stand with the brave men and women in Iran who stood up for equality, human dignity, and freedom.
In a speech on Monday, September 10, regarding the approaching anniversary of the murder of Mahsa Amini by the regime, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola said: “This week, September 16, marks the anniversary of the murder of Mahsa Amini in Iran. We would like to remind you once again that the European Parliament stands proudly with those brave men and women who stood up for equality, human dignity and freedom in Iran. And with those who, even from prison, kept the candle of the women’s movement, life and freedom, burning.”
Referring to Narges Mohammadi, Bahareh Hedayat, Nasrin Javadi, Golrokh Irani, Sepideh Gholian, and other civil and political activists imprisoned in prison, he strongly condemned the hostage-taking of European citizens and dual nationals and called for the immediate release of European official Johann Flodros and Professor Ahmadreza Jalali.
At the end of his speech, he announced that this place will be a reminder of the legacy of Mahsa Amini and all those who paid the highest price for freedom.
