President of the European Parliament: We stand with the brave men and women in Iran
The President of the European Parliament announced that we stand with the brave men and women in Iran who stood up for equality, human dignity, and freedom.
«روبرتا متسولا» رئیس پارلمان اروپا طی یک سخنرانی در روز دوشنبه برابر با 20 شهریور در خصوص نزدیک شدن به سالروز قتل مهسا امینی توسط نظام گفت: «این هفته در تاریخ 16 سپتامبر سالگرد قتل مهسا امینی در ایران است. دوباره یادآور میشویم که پارلمان اروپا با کمال افتخار، در کنار آن زنان و مردان شجاع که در ایران برای برابری، شان انسانی و آزادی بلند شدند، ایستاده است. همینطور در کنار آنان که حتی از داخل زندان شمع جنبش زن، زندگی، آزادی را روشن نگه داشتند.»
Referring to Narges Mohammadi, Bahareh Hedayat, Nasrin Javadi, Golrokh Irani, Sepideh Gholian, and other civil and political activists imprisoned in prison, he strongly condemned the hostage-taking of European citizens and dual nationals and called for the immediate release of European official Johann Flodros and Professor Ahmadreza Jalali.
At the end of his speech, he announced that this place will be a reminder of the legacy of Mahsa Amini and all those who paid the highest price for freedom.
