Efforts to suppress information about Corona | Iranian police arrest 24 people under the pretext of fighting rumors

Reports indicate an increase in security clashes with those who try to spread news about the coronavirus, with police officials reporting the arrest of 24 people in this regard.
Vahid Majid, head of Iran's cyber police, said on Wednesday, March 27, referring to "monitoring cyberspace and forming a special working group in the FATA police to combat cyberspace rumormongers," that so far 24 people have been arrested and referred to judicial authorities, and 118 users have been warned and counseled.
Mike Pompeo warned on Tuesday that the United States is concerned about the Islamic Republic's authorities' secrecy about the coronavirus outbreak.
Public opinion in Iran is concerned about the Iranian authorities' secrecy. The first death from coronavirus was reported on March 1, even though officials had previously denied any cases of coronavirus in Iran.
In previous years, there has been a precedent where, in cases such as the Isfahan acid attack, the Islamic Republic authorities arrested and imprisoned those who reported on the incident, instead of pursuing and dealing with the perpetrators.
