The circumstances surrounding the arrest of a female student by the "Guidelines Patrol" at one of the Azad University branches

Following the continued protests by students at the Central Tehran Azad University against the presence of the guidance patrol, news reports indicate that several students have been arrested by security and law enforcement forces.
According to images published on social media, students of the Central Tehran Azad University gathered in the Sohanek area on Saturday, November 25, to protest the presence of police patrols at the university.
In one of the released videos, a girl whose cell phone was confiscated by officers stands in front of a car in protest, but the police car suddenly moves and tries to run over the female student, pushing her back a long distance.
This video was also released on Sunday, which shows the incident from a closer perspective:
Student protests at the university continued on Sunday, November 26, with some sources reporting the arrest of four students, although official sources have not yet confirmed such arrests.
Mandatory hijab in Iran is a violation of civil rights, and many women have faced numerous confrontations and deprivations over the past years due to what is called improper hijab or lack of hijab.
The presence of special police forces in Iran to combat the wearing of the hijab, known as the "Guidelines Patrol," is one of the Islamic Republic's latest moves to impose mandatory hijab. However, the harsh and illegal actions of these patrols, although sometimes criticized by senior Iranian officials, have never led to their closure.
In the latest case, it is even said that these patrols went to the Central Tehran Azad University in Sohanek, while the presence of law enforcement and military forces in the university is prohibited by law.
Students at Tehran Azad University are protesting the presence of police forces as a guidance patrol at the university, while one of the Azad University officials, in an interview with ILNA News Agency, denied the existence of student protests and even guidance patrols at the university, saying that what happened was outside the university and that the police were performing their inherent duty.
But the fact that a female student was run over by the Ershad patrol brought many reactions on social media.
Another user tweeted that "there is no place for guidance patrols in universities," and the user believed that universities are not barracks.
