Suicide of a teenager in Kohgiluyeh city

On Tuesday, April 20, a teenage girl living in the village of Sarpari, in the central part of Kohgiluyeh County, committed suicide. The Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7 percent.
According to HRANA News Agency, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, on Tuesday, April 20, 1402, a teenage girl committed suicide and lost her life.
The identity of this teenager, Fatemeh Khoshbayan, from the village of Sarpari, in the central part of Kohgiluyeh city, has been confirmed by HRANA.
An informed source cited financial poverty as the reason for his suicide and said that his body would be buried on Wednesday, April 11.
The high suicide rate in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces, especially among women and children, has always been a worrying issue and a topic of discussion for children's and women's rights activists.
In March of last year, the governor of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad expressed his concern about the suicide statistics in this province and, referring to the severe deprivation in some areas of the province, stated: "I am ashamed to say that Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province ranks first in suicides in the country."
