ISIS: We will destroy the three pyramids of Egypt

The Daily Mail published a video in which an ISIS member, standing next to the ruins of the Temple of Nabu, announces that the group's next goal is to destroy the Great Pyramids of Egypt. ISIS has already caused heavy damage to ancient monuments in Syria and Iraq.

The Islamic State terrorist group has released a new video threatening to raze the Great Pyramids of Giza to the ground.

According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail", which published the video, ISIS forces recorded this video while destroying the ancient temple of "Nabu" in the historic city of Nimrud in Nineveh Province.

This ten-minute video initially shows the ancient temple of "Nabu" and the inscriptions carved on the walls of this historical monument, which was destroyed by ISIS forces.

At the end of the video, a black-clad ISIS member threatens to stand next to the ruins of this valuable ancient temple, saying that the terrorist group's next destination and goal is the Great Pyramids of Egypt.

Experts say that by combining images of the destruction of the Temple of Nabu with this new threat, ISIS forces intend to convince the audience that they are serious about their threat to destroy one of the world's most important antiquities and cultural heritage sites in Egypt.

The exact date of the release of this threatening video is unknown.

At the beginning of this year, Islamic State forces released several shocking videos of the destruction of the ancient city of Palmyra and the destruction of valuable ancient artifacts in the Mosul Museum, which sparked widespread reactions.

ISIS forces in Palmyra destroyed the famous Temple of Bel and caused serious damage to various parts of the central part of the ancient city.

On April 28 of this year, Syrian army forces were able to regain control of Palmyra after a fierce battle.

Before the start of the Syrian civil war, Palmyra was one of the most important tourist areas and was considered one of the main cultural heritage attractions in the Middle East.
