Aydin Aghdashloo Denies Sexual Harassment Allegations

Aydin Aghdashloo, a renowned painter, denied allegations of harassment and sexual assault against him in a statement released on Thursday.

Sara Emat-Ali, a former journalist who now lives in the United States, accused Mr. Aghdashloo last week of assaulting her in 2006.

Ms. Emat-Ali posted her message on Twitter, and within hours it garnered significant attention, with many people commenting that they had similar experiences with Aydin Aghdashloo or had heard such things about him.

In response, Aydin Aghdashloo stated in his statement posted on social media that he “strongly” rejects these “unfounded claims.”
