Earthquake in Golestan Province leaves at least 10 injured

Iranian Red Crescent officials reported that at least 10 people were injured in the earthquake in Golestan province.
The Iranian Students News Agency, ISNA, reported on Monday, September 8, quoting the director of the Red Crescent Society's Operations Control and Coordination Center, that at least 10 people were injured in the morning earthquake in Ramyan, Golestan Province.
Hossein Derakhshan added that, based on reports received from villagers and assessment teams, damage has been caused to some buildings in the Qorchai and Viro areas.
The Iranian Geophysical Institute has assessed the magnitude of the earthquake, which occurred at 2:04 AM near Ramian, as 5.1 on the Richter scale.
According to the institute's report, the epicenter of the earthquake was 3 kilometers from Ramian, 9 kilometers from Azadshahr, and 10 kilometers from Khan Bebin in Golestan Province, and is 61 kilometers away from the center of Golestan Province.
