Thirteen Iranian opposition groups say they are organizing cooperation with each other

Thirteen organizations and political formations issued a joint statement on Wednesday addressed to the Iranian nation. 

The statement reads: "For more than 42 years, you have been in a constant struggle with the inhumane Islamic government on the path to achieving a humane life. What the Islamic Republic has imposed on you during these difficult years of poverty, suffocation, and repression has not been able to destroy the desire to achieve freedom, a decent life, and human dignity in your great hearts."

Another part of the statement reads: "Now, in a situation where you have determined to free our country from this anti-Iranian and anti-human regime, we, the political groups and organizations opposed to the Islamic Republic and who believe in democracy and secularism, the territorial integrity of Iran, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, while supporting your courageous and peaceful protests, declare in unity and solidarity that we are loyal to the great ideals of the Iranian nation."

At the end of this statement, these organizations and political formations announced their determination to elevate their cooperation to a "level of organized coordination" in order to pave the "path of national solidarity with the aim of saving Iran."

Democracy of Iran, and a group of 14 signatories of the statement, are among the signatories of this statement.
