Biden's condition for returning to the JCPOA: Iran's adherence to its commitments

Joe Biden's proposed choice for the State Department believes that the United States is not under pressure to decide whether to return to the JCPOA. Anthony Blinken has said that the United States' return to the JCPOA is conditional on Iran adhering to its obligations.
Anthony Blinken, Joe Biden's proposed choice to lead the State Department, as well as Avril Hines, Biden's choice to direct national intelligence, have pointed to the difficulties in America's return to the nuclear deal.
On Tuesday, January 19, Reuters published a report from Washington about the Biden administration's possible policy towards Iran's nuclear program.
Joe Biden had previously announced that the United States was willing to return to the nuclear agreement and lift the sanctions against the country if Iran adhered to its commitments under the JCPOA.
Anthony Blinken said of Biden's remarks: "We have a very long way to go to get to that point."
Biden's proposed choice for the US State Department has said that once Iran returns to its commitments, then the US can take steps towards returning to the JCPOA.
Blinken has emphasized that the goal of the new US administration, regardless of limiting Iran's nuclear activities, is to limit the country's missile activities.
Blinken has emphasized that the issue of Iran's regional activities and the country's support for its allied forces are also among the issues that the Biden administration will address.
Avril Haines has also emphasized that the US path to returning to the nuclear agreement has been long and that the new US administration is not under pressure to return to the nuclear agreement.
