Queen Farah Pahlavi on executions in Iran: The person in front of you is a child of this land and water

On Wednesday, July 15, Queen Farah Pahlavi issued a statement and voice message in response to the issuance of death sentences for three young protesters in Iran, saying that those who issue such sentences should be reminded that the person in front of you is a child of this land and water, and imagine that in front of you is your own child, father, mother, brother, or sister.

Queen Farah Pahlavi added: "Furthermore, you should know that the unjust verdict you are issuing increases the anger, disgust, and sense of revenge of this noble and patient nation. This vicious circle must be broken so that perhaps one day, not too far in the future, the forgiveness of future generations will extend to today's wrongdoers."
