Civil activists gathered in front of Karaj Prison

A group of teachers, labor and human rights activists gathered in front of Karaj Prison to protest the situation of imprisoned teachers and workers and demand the release of Ismail Abdi, Shapour Ehsani Rad, and other imprisoned teachers and workers.

This rally took place after security forces prevented several of their rallies from taking place.

According to images and videos published on social media on Saturday, workers' protest rallies were held in more than 20 cities in Iran, and some of them, including in Tehran, were met with the intervention of law enforcement and security forces.

The International Workers' Day rallies were held in Iran under conditions where security forces had previously banned labor and trade union activists from participating in these rallies.
