Man whose child abuse video sparked controversy arrested
Following the widespread reposting of a video on social media containing child sexual abuse by an Instagram user, the head of Tehran's Fata Police announced the arrest of this man on charges of disturbing public opinion and child abuse.
The arrested person, named Soroush Khoonani, had posted a video on his Instagram in which he asked two child fortune tellers on the street to show their penises, making this act a source of entertainment.
On Monday, November 6, Davoud Moazami Goodarzi, the head of the FATA police, announced, without naming the defendant, that he had been sent to prison after being arrested and issued a guilty verdict.
The release of this video sparked a negative and angry reaction from a significant number of social media users, and after the incident became controversial, the defendant immediately deleted it from his page and released an apology video.
