Pew Research Center: Christian and Muslim Population in 2050

The Pew Research Center has provided estimates of the ratio of the Christian and Muslim population in 2050.
The Pew Research Center is an American think tank based in Washington, D.C., that provides information on the issues, attitudes, and trends shaping the world and the United States. The project collects public opinion surveys and reports from around the world to understand global attitudes on various issues.
According to estimates by the Pew Research Center about followers of different religions and denominations and even atheists around the world, from 2010 to 2050, in a 40-year period, Islam and Christianity will have the largest number of followers in the world. According to research, followers of Islam will almost equal followers of Christianity by a very small margin, and Hindus will also outnumber atheists.
According to the Pew Center's survey and estimates, by 2050, the number of followers of Christianity will exceed 2.9 billion people, and the Muslim population will reach more than 2.75 billion, slightly ahead of Christians. Among the world's major religions, only the Buddhist population will experience a decline of 1.5 million.
Research conducted by the Pew Research Center states that over a 40-year period, the Muslim population will increase by more than 72%, and the Christian population will experience a growth of 34.58%.
The prediction made by the Pew Research Center comes as many countries have witnessed many crimes committed by the Islamic Republic government against the people of Iran in the past year, following nationwide protests in Iran that began with the killing of Mahsa Amini due to the mandatory hijab imposed by religious law.
The crimes that the Islamic Republic regime committed in response to the people's demand for justice, equal rights for women and men, freedom of expression and belief, voluntary clothing, etc. Where religion was involved in politics and people were forced to observe the laws they liked, and the result was a hatred of Islam, which shows complete coercion and violence, and many people turned to Christianity, which they saw love and truth in.
It goes without saying that since we witness many events around the world every day and the awakening of people who have always been attentive to the mouths of clerics in different countries, politicians, etc., in order to allow them to achieve their goals by doing what they want, but are now more awake than ever to choose their own path, it is not impossible that the above-mentioned statistics will change in the coming years, and these changes depend on the events that occur every day in Muslim countries, Buddhist countries, atheist countries, and other religions, which expose lies, superstitions, thefts, crimes, and other issues, and generally change the path of people's beliefs.
Among the things that could contribute to changing the given statistics are the following:
- Regime change in Iran and support for Islamic radicalism will change the way Muslims view their religion in the Muslim-majority countries of Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and the Gaza Strip.
- Exposing the financial and moral corruption of Muslim religious leaders in the aforementioned regions and the Islamic government of Afghanistan will have an adverse effect on the growth of the propagation of Islam.
- The wave of Islamophobia will not end only in the aforementioned countries, but the Islamist countries of Northeast Asia should also be included in these countries.
- Muslims' access to free information after leaving Muslim countries.
The cases mentioned are just some of the events that can shake up the statistics of beliefs and convictions of people around the world.
