Interior Minister's Advisor: We have given Rouhani a report on the November 2019 protests

Rouhollah Jumei, advisor to the Iranian Minister of Interior, has said that after the November 2019 protests, a "detailed and expert report" about these incidents was presented to Hassan Rouhani.
According to ISNA, Mr. Jumaei said that the report referred to the "causes of the incident, a complete description of the incident, and a detailed pathology" of the November 2019 protests, as well as the "performance of the various sectors involved."
In an interview with the August issue of the monthly magazine "Andisheh Pouya," Hassan Rouhani's advisor, Hesameddin Ashena, said that the Iranian president has not yet "received a clear, defensible report on the deaths of those killed in Aban."
He did not explain which institution should submit this report, but said that regarding the number of deaths in November 2019, "the law enforcement forces say one thing, the Ministry of Interior says another, and the Ministry of Health says another number."
Previously, Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said that between 200 and 225 people were killed in the November 2019 protests.
However, these statistics have been seriously questioned by opposition groups and international human rights organizations.
Amnesty International, in its latest report on the November 2019 protests, said that at least 304 people were killed during the November 2019 protests in 37 cities and eight provinces of Iran. The organization emphasized that the actual number of those killed in November 2019 was likely much higher.
On January 19, 2019, Reuters reported that the Leader of the Islamic Republic "ordered the bloodiest crackdown on protesters" in the past four decades, and that 1,500 people were killed during these protests.
The protests in November last year followed the government's sudden decision to increase gasoline prices by 200 percent in many Iranian cities, but were met with repression by security forces and a complete internet shutdown.
