Najafabad; Prescription of illegal traditional medicine led to death of citizen infected with coronavirus

The Najafabad County Prosecutor announced the death of a citizen infected with the coronavirus after using traditional medicine prescribed by an unauthorized treatment unit. He said the suspect was arrested following a complaint from the citizen's family.
According to HRANA news agency, citing Rokna, a citizen infected with coronavirus in Najafabad lost his life after using traditional medicine prescribed by an unauthorized treatment unit.
The Najafabad County Prosecutor said in this regard: "The family of a 27-year-old man with Down syndrome referred to this unauthorized traditional medicine unit for treatment after their son tested positive for coronavirus."
Ali Zare added: "This young man lost his life after three days of using the medicine prescribed by this unauthorized traditional medicine unit."
He pointed out that this is the fourth time that the operator of this unauthorized unit has been arrested due to complaints from patients and visitors, adding: "Upon a complaint from the young man's parents, the violator, who claimed to treat the coronavirus disease outside of specialized channels, was arrested."
Zare continued: “The defendant had caused protests from many fellow citizens by holding numerous meetings claiming to cure the coronavirus, organizing unnecessary gatherings, and encouraging attendees not to wear masks.”
He said: "This person's case is under review and investigation, and the opinions of experts and specialists are being sought in this prosecution."
