Narges Mohammadi and Keyvan Samimi were deported from Evin to Qarchak and Karaj.

Narges Mohammadi was transferred to Qarchak, Varamin, after two months in solitary confinement in Evin Prison. Keyvan Samimi was also transferred from Evin to Karaj Prison.
Narges Mohammadi's husband, Taghi Rahmani, announced on Twitter that the human rights activist was transferred to Qarchak Prison in Varamin on Wednesday, January 19, after two months of solitary confinement in Evin. According to Mr. Rahmani, Narges has not had any contact with her family since this transfer.
Narges Mohammadi, Vice President of the Center for Human Rights Defenders, was arrested again on November 15th during the memorial service for Ebrahim Kebatdar, one of the victims of the November 2019 protests.
Keyvan Samimi, a 73-year-old imprisoned journalist, was also transferred from Evin to Rajai Shahr Prison on the same day. After the death of Bektash Abtin, he wrote a letter titled “unintentional murder” and was then threatened with deportation.
