Protest campaign of banging on empty pots on the night before the anniversary of the 1978 revolution

Videos have been posted on social media showing a group of citizens participating in a protest campaign and banging on empty pots as darkness fell on the evening of February 11.

Videos have also been released in which they chant slogans against the Islamic Republic and Ayatollah Khamenei.

This is despite the fact that government celebrations are held throughout Iran every year for 10 days ending on Bahman 22, and the official media of the Islamic Republic claim that they are also well-received by the people.
