In the latest official coronavirus statistics in Iran, the Ministry of Health spokesperson announced the identification of 6,597 new patients in the country over the past 24 hours and announced that 79 people have also died during this period.

Meanwhile, the deputy director of the Tehran Province Coronavirus Task Force has said that in some hospitals in the province, we have encountered a twofold increase in outpatient visits, and this could be a sign of a curve rising towards an increase in the number of infections and the reactivation of the disease transmission cycle and chain.
Nader Tavakoli also reported an increase in coronavirus infections among people under the age of 25 and said that some restrictions will likely return next week.
Alireza Raisi, spokesman for the National Headquarters for Combating the Coronavirus, also pointed out that the travel restrictions were effective in controlling the spread of the coronavirus, adding that these restrictions were "extended from orange to yellow areas."
He said that currently no cities are in red, 18 cities are in orange, and 124 cities are in yellow.
