New IMF report on Iran's economic growth in 2019

The International Monetary Fund, in a new report published on its website on Wednesday, July 24, says that Iran's economic growth for the current solar year will be minus six percent.
This index was minus 7.4 percent for 2019 and minus 5.4 percent for 2020.
According to estimates from this international institution, Iran's economic growth next year will be positive at 3.1 percent.
The International Monetary Fund's estimate of Iran's economic growth this year and next is unchanged from the institution's previous report published in April.
The International Monetary Fund's forecast of a negative six percent growth in Iran's economy comes at a time when Peyman Ghorbani, the deputy economic officer at the Central Bank, recently claimed in an interview with Tasnim News Agency that the country's "non-oil economic growth" will be positive this year.
According to the International Monetary Fund's estimates, Iran's non-oil economic growth this year will be minus six percent and Iran's oil economic growth will be minus 5.9 percent.
The International Monetary Fund has also predicted that global economic growth in 2020 will be negative 4.9% due to the coronavirus outbreak.
