Arbaeen, a Degenerate Marketplace at the Expense of the Nation, to the Benefit of Religion Peddlers

Arbaeen has transformed into a degenerate marketplace where the costs borne by the Iranian nation have gone to the benefit of religion peddlers, and the expenses of extravagant vows, temporary marriages, and religious merchants have become commonplace.

Based on public reports and videos published on social media, this year’s Arbaeen ceremony, more than serving as a reminder of the uprising of “Hussein ibn Ali” for the religion peddlers, has transformed into a venue for displaying consumerism, corruption, and religious abuse.

At this ceremony, expensive votive offerings including deer meat, camel, beef, various luxury foods, and lavish beverages were distributed abundantly, but these costs were not borne by the pockets of religious preachers or the Iraqi government, but rather directly from the empty tables of the Iranian people.

Field reports also indicate that the distribution of lust-inducing items such as condoms was part of this year’s Arbaeen ceremony, demonstrating that this ceremony, which according to religion-peddling Muslims represents the manifestation of spirituality and sacrifice, has become a venue for satisfying carnal and lustful desires.

In this supposedly sacred place that has transformed into a degenerate marketplace, religion is merely a commodity offered in this market however one wishes, from the slogan “Ya Hussein” to tools of pleasure; but asceticism and justice exist only on the pulpits of preachers. Additionally, what has shaken public opinion most is the activity of some pavilions as centers for renting Iranian and Iraqi girls. Among them, the “Imamzadeh Taher Pavilion” from “Taherhabad in Kashan” under the personal responsibility of someone named “Karbalai Meysam” has been reported as a center that rents girls to pilgrims at different prices depending on age and appearance. Published videos have exposed the details of this abuse, showing how the bodies of Iranian women have become a tool for religious commerce and filling the pockets of religion peddlers.

Simultaneously, the deputy commander of the country’s police force announced a report of a one-hundred-percent reduction in thefts inside the country during the Arbaeen days, as many thieves have also traveled to Karbala. The release of films showing the confiscation of stolen goods by Iraqi police confirms this matter.

Social experts believe that Arbaeen today, more than being a religious movement, has transformed into a multi-layered marketplace: a marketplace that both satisfies the stomach, fulfills lust, and fills the pockets of religion merchants, but the cost of all of it comes from the pockets of the Iranian people.

The people have the right to ask why, when their children in Iran are struggling with poverty and livelihood problems, billions of tomans are spent on a marketplace that only promotes consumerism and religious corruption?
