Isfahan Citizen Arrested Following Creation and Distribution of Video Related to Attack on Iran’s Consulate

The Isfahan Province Intelligence Organization announced the arrest of a citizen for creating and distributing a video in connection with the attack on Iran’s consulate.

On Monday, the 13th of Farvardin, the building of Iran’s consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria, came under aerial attack, during which seven senior members of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Mohammad Hadi Hajiri, were killed.

A citizen in Isfahan created and distributed a video regarding these attacks, following which he was arrested. The Intelligence Organization of the Isfahan Province Police Command announced the arrest in a statement without disclosing the citizen’s identity, after he had responded to the recent incident at Iran’s consulate in the Syrian capital by producing and distributing a video.

The Intelligence Organization of the Isfahan Province Police Command evaluated the video created by this person as “offensive” and claimed in its statement that the individual in question had provided the produced content to foreign media outlets for distribution.

In the Intelligence Organization’s report, there was no reference to the identity of this Isfahan citizen, his place of detention, or the charges brought against him.
