“Ali Khamenei”: The Consulate is on Our Land, They Made a Mistake and Must Be Punished

“Ali Khamenei” said in his Eid al-Fitr speech: “The consulate is on our land, they made a mistake and must be punished.”

Today, Wednesday, on the 22nd of Farvardin, the Eid al-Fitr prayer was held in the presence of Iran’s senior political and military officials, and Ali Khamenei in his speech, while referring to the aerial attack on Iran’s consulate in Syrian territory and holding Israel responsible, said to the worshippers: “Israel made a mistake by attacking Iran’s consulate, it must be punished and it will be punished.”

He referred in his speech to the military personnel killed in the mentioned attack and by naming “Mohammad Reza Zahedi” and “Mohammad Hadi Hajiriahimi,” two Revolutionary Guards brigadier generals, said: “We have mourned our martyrs, but they have succeeded and achieved their goals. When the Zionists attacked our consulate, it means they attacked our land. We will make Israel regret.”

Shortly after Ali Khamenei’s speech, “Israel Katz,” Israel’s Foreign Minister, wrote on the social network X in Persian: “If Iran attacks from its own territory, Israel will respond and attack Iran.”

In the past two days, “Hassan Nasrallah,” Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon, in his latest speech said: “Ayatollah Khamenei and the officials of the Islamic Republic have made a definitive decision that Iran’s response will come directly.”

Ali Khamenei, calling America and Britain tyrannical and arrogant, criticized Western governments and said: “Some of them not only failed to prevent the war, but also supported it.” He added regarding domestic policies: “Political disagreement is not a problem, but breaking unity and creating false divisions is harmful to the country.”

He also, in response to “pretending to fast” during the month of Ramadan, said: “Certainly, the Islamic Republic system does not want to force people into religiosity by force.” However, he asked the officers responsible for promoting virtue and preventing vice to fulfill their duty in the face of norm-breaking.
